Visa procedure to the Czech Republic:
- Letter of Acceptance of study and Confirmation of Accommodation are required for application of student visa at the Czech Embassy or Czech Consulate in your country of origin.
- Visa application form (in five main European languages) could be filled with the help of the embassy personnel.
- Applications for both short term (up to 90 days) and long term (more than 90 days) visa must be submitted at the Czech Embassy or Czech Consulate in your country of origin.
- The short term visa is issued by the Czech Embassy or Czech Consulate in your country of origin and takes only 10 days to be processed.
- The long term student visa is issued by the Czech Ministry of Interior and takes up to 60 days to be processed.
Important information for the foreign students:
It is recommended to apply for the long-term resident instead of the short-term visa for the study purposes.
The applicant may be asked to provide the proof of sufficient financial support to cover living expenses here in Czech Republic for the first 5 months which represents about 30.000 CZK (approx. 3000 CZK for the students dormitory and 3000 CZK for other expenses as food, public transport, etc. per month). Additionally, the bank statement, debit card and sponsorship letter from a family member or a friend are also required.
