Students from non EU countries must have a supplementary travel health insurance, covering the entire period of their stay in the Czech Republic.
They must make necessary provisions before leaving their country of origin. They also must obtain the above mentioned certificate of insurance from the Czech General Health Insurance Company. Students from non EU countries, staying in the Czech Republic longer than 3 months (for a semester or an academic year) must have a contract with an insurance company in the Czech Republic or a company authorised by the Czech Embassy in their country of origin.
Please consult the study coordinator at the Faculty of Engineering - CULS before applying for a long term visa. Czech visa, or long term residence permit, will not be delivered if the insurance (for a semester or an academic year) is not recognised by the Czech Embassy.
